Houston Harbaugh and Director Jared Leland Lead Student Effort to Fight Blood Cancers

From July 2024 through March 2025, Houston Harbaugh PC and Director Jared Leland co-sponsored and co-chaired Team Catching Cures, a group of students from the Fox Chapel Area School District in Pittsburgh PA dedicated to facilitating research and improving patient-care for those suffering from blood cancers.
Through Mr. Leland’s leadership and the generosity of corporate and individual contributors throughout the country, Team Catching Cures generated over *$107,000.00* for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to lead the Region’s effort to raise $550,000.00 of charitable funding.
“Houston Harbaugh and I were honored and proud to dedicate our time and resources to such a critical cause”, stated Mr. Leland. “Blood cancers have fractured the very fabric of our communities, and we are fortunate and blessed for the opportunity to fight against leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and Hodgkin’s disease by funding research and sponsoring initiatives leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy and personalized medicine that improve and save lives”, he added. “Together, we can do more than climb mountains; we can move them. Our hope is that, one day very soon, blood cancers will no longer impact families and the precious gift of life”.
