Courteny N. Hager
Overview
Courteny Hager is an associate attorney in the firm’s Health Law Practice. With a strong foundation in corporate and health law, and a proven track record in regulatory compliance and client advocacy, Courteny is a valuable addition to the firm’s legal team.
Since joining Houston Harbaugh, Courteny has supported the firm’s Corporate and Health Law Groups by drafting and refining essential legal documents, including equity purchase agreements, leases, and employment agreements. Her prior experience includes a summer fellowship with the Allegheny County Bar Foundation, where she provided critical support to clients on matters related to housing, family law, and employment, including aiding with representation at hearings and assisting with expungement processes. She also gained significant experience as a legal intern with Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation, handling legal research on matters such as name changes, tenant disputes, and regulatory compliance.
In addition to her legal work, Courteny brings valuable operational insight from her role as an operations manager and consultant for a health-tech startup, where she managed regulatory compliance, human resources, and daily operations, contributing to company growth and cost efficiencies. Her early career included roles as a volunteer center supervisor and pharmacy technician, where she developed skills in patient advocacy, HIPAA compliance, and team leadership.
