Overview

Zayba Chauhdry is an associate attorney in the firm’s Health Law and Corporate Practice. She first joined the firm as a summer associate in 2025 and continued as a law clerk while finishing law school. In that time, she supported attorneys across several of the firm’s practice areas, including labor and employment, oil and gas, and litigation.

Zayba’s interest in corporate and health care law grew out of her summer as a Corporate Legal Intern at UPMC. There she drafted legal memoranda on corporate compliance, health care regulations, and contractual obligations. She also reviewed and redlined contracts and took part in corporate mediation sessions. That experience gave her a practical understanding of the regulatory and transactional issues health care organizations and businesses face every day.

She earned her J.D. from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University, where she was selected by her peers to serve as Commencement Speaker. She was a member of the Duquesne Law Review and received the Outstanding Oral Argument Award for excellence in appellate advocacy.

Throughout law school, Zayba demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, service, and community engagement. She served as President of the Asian and Pacific Islander Law Society and was a member of the Dean’s Diversity Action Council, contributing to efforts to foster an inclusive law school community. As Pro Bono Student Manager, she organized and coordinated pro bono clinics and community legal service initiatives.

Prior to law school, Zayba graduated magna cum laude from St. Bonaventure University with a B.A. in History and minors in Biology and Political Science. She served as Class President and later designed and taught an undergraduate course on the United Nations, international law, and diplomacy. Zayba brings her commitment to advocacy, attention to detail, and collaborative approach to her practice.
