Kevin D. Huber
Practice Areas
Overview
With a focus on litigation, Kevin concentrates on insurance coverage, insurance bad faith and extra-contractual claims, business and intellectual property litigation and the firm’s growing practice dedicated to claims and suits involving the business use of artificial intelligence (AI) by insurance carriers and other commercial entities. He brings meaningful experience representing clients in complex coverage disputes and litigation matters, and his background strengthens Houston Harbaugh’s ability to provide practical, strategic, and results-oriented counsel to clients facing sophisticated legal challenges. Kevin also has extensive experience in appellate matters including case analysis, appellate briefing and courtroom oral arguments. His technical and scientific competence in building and working with computers and related technology is also a valuable part of Houston Harbaugh’s team approach to matters of intellectual property, trade secrets and AI related litigation.
Prior to joining Houston Harbaugh, P.C., Kevin practiced with a large national law firm and a Pittsburgh-based litigation firm where he represented clients in matters involving complex insurance coverage, extra-contractual claims, and broader commercial litigation. His experience includes drafting coverage opinions, conducting preventative legal research, developing litigation strategy, preparing appellate briefs, and presenting oral argument on appeal. Through this work, and an initial judicial clerkship, Kevin has developed a strong understanding of the legal and practical issues that arise in insurance coverage disputes and other commercial litigation.
