R. Brandon McCullough Admitted to the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel

Houston Harbaugh Director joins invitation-only organization of peer-reviewed defense counsel and corporate counsel.
Houston Harbaugh, P.C. is pleased to announce that R. Brandon McCullough, a Director of the firm, has been admitted to membership in the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC). The FDCC is a nomination-only organization that connects the peer-reviewed leaders of the civil defense, corporate legal and insurance industries.
Membership in the FDCC is limited, selective and by nomination only. An independent Admissions Committee investigates each nominee’s qualifications, and the Federation’s Board of Directors makes the final election. Defense counsel nominees must have been members of the bar for at least eight years and be of high professional standing and good moral character. The Federation also limits the number of lawyers in private practice who may be members.
The FDCC describes membership as a privilege afforded “to those who have differentiated themselves professionally and personally and whose exemplary reputations have been earned.” It’s more than 1,400 members include defense counsel, corporate counsel and insurance industry executives across the United States and abroad.
Brandon focuses his practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation and on complex commercial and business litigation. He represents insurers in coverage disputes in state and federal courts involving commercial general liability, excess and umbrella, property and specialty policies. He is a Fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel, Vice Chair of the DRI Insurance Law Committee and a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys. He has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for Insurance Law and as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer®.
As a member, Brandon will take part in the Federation’s substantive law sections, its Winter and Annual conventions, and specialized programs such as the Corporate Counsel Symposium and the Insurance Industry Institute.
Houston Harbaugh’s clients will be the direct beneficiaries of Brandon’s membership. His participation in the Federation’s top-tier, relevant educational programming will keep him abreast of the latest developments in the industry, and his relationships with other highly vetted and respected legal professionals will be a resource for clients wherever their matters arise.
“I am honored to be invited to join the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel,” said Brandon. “The FDCC brings together lawyers and industry leaders I have long admired, and I look forward to contributing to its work and learning from its members.”
“Brandon’s admission to the FDCC reflects the respect he has earned from clients and peers across the insurance industry and defense bar,” said Alex Thomson, President of Houston Harbaugh. “We are proud to see his work recognized by such a selective organization.”
