Houston Harbaugh is pleased to announce the promotions of three of its attorneys. On behalf of the Executive Committee and the Directors, the following promotions are effective January 1, 2025: Erik Bergenthal from Senior Attorney to Director, Maura Perri from Senior Associate to Senior Attorney, and Tyler Park from Associate to Senior Associate.
The promotions are from some of the firm’s key practice areas, including Corporate Law and Litigation.

Erik M. Bergenthal – As a litigation attorney, Erik has a diverse legal background covering complex civil litigation, non-compete disputes, construction litigation, petitions for guardianship, zoning appeals and collection cases. Erik has represented a diverse client base including design professionals, contractors, landowners, railroads and credit unions.
Erik has a keen interest in technology, and has worked on cases involving software design and development. Recently, he represented a credit union in a dispute over the design and development of its core banking system. Erik also serves on Houston Harbaugh’s Technology Committee. His understanding of the technology behind e-discovery has helped clients realize substantial cost savings when responding to discovery requests and subpoenas.
Houston Harbaugh’s Senior Attorney Promotion

Maura K. Perri – Maura is a senior attorney in the firm’s Business Law Group. Maura concentrates her practice in the areas of general corporate matters, commercial and residential real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and business planning. Her experience includes counseling clients on entity selection and formation, reviewing and drafting various other corporate documents, and working with clients through the life cycle of both real estate and corporate transactions.

Tyler C. Park – An attorney in the firm’s litigation, insurance and intellectual property practice groups, Tyler focuses his practice in the substantive areas of Business Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, Trade Secret and DTSALaw®, and Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith.
Tyler has experience with all stages of litigation. He additionally brings experience drafting corporate transactional agreements such as: stock purchase agreements, employment agreements, business formation documents, and confidentiality/ non-disclosure agreements which further allow him to understand commercial business litigation matters. He is currently working on complex DTSA/Trade Secret litigation and Insurance Coverage matters.
