- (DTSA) Defend Trade Secrets Act

Director Henry M. Sneath has been appointed to serve on the DRI Center for Law and Public Policy Task Force on Artificial Intelligence. This national Task Force is charged with examining the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and artificial general intelligence (AGI) on substantive areas of the law like Intellectual Property, Employment and Insurance Bad Faith, and on the mechanics of legal research and the strategy of the practice of law.
As part of his role, Mr. Sneath will contribute to the Center’s thought leadership by writing and speaking on the implications of AI and AGI in different substantive areas of the law, including the challenges and opportunities these technologies present for attorneys, clients, and policymakers. As more and more businesses including insurers, financial services institutions, healthcare providers, product manufacturers and cybersecurity firms embed AI enterprise software into their models and product offerings, the landscape of litigation will change and business litigation and IP lawyers must be prepared to deal with this new paradigm.
With decades of litigation and intellectual property trial experience, Mr. Sneath brings a unique perspective to the Task Force’s mission of providing guidance and policy insight on such emerging technologies as machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing, that are all reshaping business and the practice of law.
