Erica M. Pietranton

Erica Pietranton is a Senior Attorney in our firm’s Employment and Labor and Litigation practices. Erica brings over a decade of experience representing clients in all stages of litigation – including jury and bench trials in federal and state courts. She advocates for clients, both business and individuals, with respect to a wide variety of legal issues, including: complex civil litigation, commercial disputes, restrictive covenant and trade secret matters, fiduciary litigation, insurance coverage, defamation and related causes of action, and product liability cases.

Erica joins us from a mid-sized Pittsburgh based firm, where she handled matters from preliminary injunctions to appeals. Her experience includes guiding high stakes cases through trial, mediation, and arbitration. She regularly briefs and argues dispositive and other motions, takes and defends depositions, and manages and oversees e-discovery protocols and large-scale discovery matters.

Earlier in her career, Erica practiced at an insurance defense firm, focusing on product liability, premises liability, and property disputes. She also served as Associate General Counsel for a publicly traded gaming corporation., where she managed litigation, advised executives, and ensured regulatory compliance before state gaming boards and other agencies. As a law student, Erica was a judicial intern for The Honorable Joy Flowers Conti of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
