Burnett Appointed to PA Pipeline Infrastructure Task Force Workgroup

Houston Harbaugh is proud to announce that firm attorney, Robert J. Burnett, a Director with the firm and Chair of the firm’s Oil & Gas Practice, has been appointed to serve on a selected workgroup of the Governor’s Pipeline Infrastructure Task Force (PITF). Mr. Burnett will join the PITF’s “Siting and Routing” Workgroup, which will be tasked with developing best practices regarding the selection and routing of natural gas pipelines across the Commonwealth. The Workgroup will submit its recommendations that will be included in a final report to the Governor by the first quarter of 2016.

Mr. Burnett represents landowners and royalty owners in a wide array of oil and gas matters throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He regularly assists landowners and royalty owners negotiate new leases and pipeline right-of-way agreements. He also advises landowner clients on lease preservation and maintenance issues. Mr. Burnett is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s “Oil and Gas Law Advisory Committee” and is also a contributing author of The Law of Oil and Gas in Pennsylvania ( 1st Ed 2014). He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO).
