Oil and Gas attorney Robert J. Burnett will be one of two faculty members presenting on recent trends in Pennsylvania royalty litigation at a CLE event hosted by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.  The program will cover the issues surrounding post-production costs – what are they, whether they are permissible, whether there are limits, and how to determine if a producer is acting appropriately in paying a landowner royalties. Robert and his co-presenter will also give a high-level overview of some of the most important historical royalty cases, as well as some ongoing lawsuits that may determine landowners’ rights in the future.

This course will count toward 1.5 substantive and .5 ethics continuing legal education credits.

Robert Burnett is a frequently requested speaker who recently presented at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s prestigious 10th Annual Oil and Gas Law Colloquium in June 2018.
